The elevators on parked Spitfires would, invariably, be seen in the drooped position. This can easilly be shown. Cut the elevators away from the tailplanes using a razor saw and with repeated passes with a scalpel. Glue a piece of square section rod, to the elevators and sand to a half round section. Use a triangular file and file the long side of the tailplane into a "V". The hinge points are then file in. This will be shown later.
